Seismic structuralization of manhole targets in a short time using the 'Magma Rock Method for Manholes'
A technology to improve the seismic structure of non-excavated manhole joint sections with diameters ranging from φ900 to φ1800 in a short time, capable of withstanding Level 2 seismic motion.
This is a non-excavation seismic reinforcement method developed with the aim of converting manhole joints that do not have seismic resistance into a seismic structure in a short period of time. It has water-tight performance that can withstand external water pressure of 0.1 MPa even if joint opening occurs during a level 2 earthquake, and has continuously obtained construction technology review certification from the Japan Sewage Works Agency since 2005. Additionally, by applying and installing it to manhole joints, it is also effective as a countermeasure method when loads equivalent to level 2 earthquake motions act in the lateral direction of the manhole blocks.
